Writing the Artist Resume: Dos & Don'ts
WEBINAR -- January 17, 2017 from 12-1P.M.

Writing the Artist Resume: Dos & Don'ts

DESCRIPTION:
Being an artist is just like any other job. When you're applying for grants, residencies, and teaching positions, building a website, or approaching a gallery for representation, you'll need a strong resume that showcases your experience and accomplishments.

In this webinar led by Sharon Arnold, founder and curator of Bridge Productions, a Seattle-based multidisciplinary exhibition and project space, you'll master the key components and proper format of an artist resume. You'll also learn what will and won't draw the attention of curators, selections committees, and grantmakers. A Q&A follows the presentation.

*This webinar is open to artists of all disciplines.
Registration is free for Artist Trust members.

INSTRUCTOR:
Sharon Arnold is a Seattle-based writer, curator, and founder of Bridge Productions. She has independently curated in various renegade spaces as well as commercial galleries, and was one of four curators for 2015's landmark event Out of Sight Seattle at King Street Station which ran alongside the Seattle Art Fair. She is currently the author of Field Notes, a bi-monthly online arts column for City Arts Magazine. Bridge Productions is home to several projects featuring a broad range of contemporary art and literature to create a strong, accessible connection to the arts through publications, monthly art exhibitions, events, collaborations, and curated box sets. Located in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle, historically a vibrant hub for artists and performers, Bridge provides a venue which creates the opportunity for artists, makers, patrons, and supporters to convene in celebration and support of the arts.
