The Lion King Project
Two ensembles, Jr and Sr, unite to mount a Broadway-style musical. 10 Weeks!
More than 60 million people around the world have come to discover the thrill, the majesty, the truly one-of-a-kind musical that is The Lion King! Mixing African culture and dance in a Shakespearean story line, each performer will experience the challenge and sheer joy of one of the most inspiring musicals of our time.
Both ensembles will practice on their own, guaranteeing attention paid to the needs of both groups. Leads will be cast from both ensembles. The parallel classes will merge just before tech week. Due to the price of rights, royalties, the extended rehearsal process, and production, cost to either ensemble is $250.00.

Time: 2:15-4pm
Day: Mondays and some Wednesdays for Large Roles (Wednesday 10-12-EDGE Central)
Start and End Date: 1/9 -3/8 rehearsals
Location: Pendulum Space in North Center (1803 W Byron St #216, Chicago, IL 60613)
Tech Rehearsals & Performances held at MCL Chicago Comedy Theater
3110 N Sheffield, Chicago IL 60657 (Right off the Belmont Red Line and Brown Line)

Wednesday March 15th Off
Thursday March 16th SHOW (call at 5pm, show at 7pm, out of the space by 10pm)
Friday March 17th SHOW (call at 10am, show at 12pm, out by 3pm)
Saturday March 18th SHOW (Call at 12:30 Show at 2:30, out by 5:30pm)
Sunday March 19th SHOW (call at 5pm, show at 7pm, out by 10pm)
Notes:
Extended rehearsal on Feb 27th. All called (Jr and Senior Cast) 1:30-5pm.
Bonus Wednesday rehearsal March 8th. Run-through at Pendulum 12:30-3:30.
