2017 Fringe Dance Showcase
Lick In Nude
Lindsey Kelley Dance presents "Lick In Nude," a modern dance inspired by the improvisational choreographic methods of post-modern dance pioneer, Trisha Brown.  Tampa-based musician and improvisational wizard, Sean Hamilton, will be accompanying the dancers onstage for what is to be a spontaneously whimsical performance.

"BASURA" Installation performance art by Susan and Giles Collard
In a world of mindless consumption and plastic pollution there is a simple answer to this plastic problem that could be as simple as STOP BUYING! But the plastic has an ego of its own. As this piece could be considered either disturbing or humorous and maybe even beautiful...only the viewer can know. RECYCLE! NO ! just stop buying .. our landfills  are a failure
short and sweet   BASURA

String of Purls
Silvia Sheffield & Co. presents String of Purls, a partially improvised dance theater solo set to the goosebump-raising voice of Patsy Cline. Be advised: this performance is intimate, bizarre, honest, and not without dark humor.
This work is made possible in part by a workshop grant from Tobacco Road Dance Productions.

Rabbit Ridge
Rabbit Ridge is a new sound and dance collaboration between In Flight and Michele t Hower.  It is a work inspired by the sublime landscape of a Ridge in New Mexico that was struck with expansive forest fires.  Rabbit Ridge encounters the body as an earthy organism, connected to its own scars, quiet hopes and internal rhythms and to the rhythms outside of it, to which it is inextricably linked.

Downtown Replay
Life and art imitate each other. This is the feedback loop that Downtown Replay explores through movement and sound. This piece originated from a series of public, improvisational performances in downtown Kansas City. The artists captured these performances through a combination of dance, sound, and video, and reconstructed specific audial and visual moments for a stage performance offering a unique perspective on the sights, sounds, and culture of Kansas City.
