"Invasion! What's New with a Few Exotic Insect Pests" class at Landis Valley
Numerous non-native species of insects impact our forests, landscapes and farms. Tim Abbey will discuss why these species become a problem, the impact they have, and potential methods for managing their populations.
Tim Abbey is an entomologist and the commercial Horticulture Educator and Green Industry Team member at Penn State Extension in York, PA He educates nursery and landscape care personnel on the basics of establishing an integrated pest management (IPM) program in eight counties around the Capital Region. He is also a Master Gardener trainer and gives lectures on ornamental insect pests.
