CALIFORNIA REDWOOD CHORALE - "AN AMERICAN RAINBOW music and lyrics of North America"
The California Redwood Chorale is performing "AN AMERICAN RAINBOW music and lyrics of North America". This wonderful 40-voice chorale from the North Bay is directed by Robert Hazelrigg and accompanied by John Hazelrigg. The Chorale will be joined on stage by Michael Bolivar and Bonnie Brooks. Michael Bolivar is well known throughout California as a professional saxophone player with a smooth style and amazing technique. Bonnie Brooks is a Bay Area gem. She is a professional mezzo-soprano who has performed extensively. Michael and Bonnie bring their impressive talent to these concerts, performing American music that you will recognize and love. Since its inception in 2006, the California Redwood Chorale has performed all styles of music for audiences in the Bay Area and foreign countries. They mastered Kodaly's "Missa Brevis" and performed it in the Bay Area as well as Sacramento and Budapest, Hungary. The Chorale took part in a choral festival in British Columbia and most recently, they took their lively Italian repertoire to Verona and Florence, Italy. The California Redwood Chorale is pleased to sing "AN AMERICAN RAINBOW music and lyrics of North America", a collection of American pieces from classical to popular, from jazz to gospel, and from American film and stage. The elegant Glaser Center provides a venue with wonderful acoustics. Enjoy the rich full sound of our music here.
