Twin Pfunk: The Pfenning brothers, formerly of Empire Drift, perform a variety of songs from acoustic ballads to classic rock hits. Dave Pfennings golden voice leads the way of this fun group accompanied by brother Mikes solid bass foundation and harmonies. Keeping the rhythm on track with a powerful attack on a Djembe is the energetic Steve Wherry. This group often features guest performers who add to their already rich sound.
Jah Rule: Popular songs from the 90s get reggae-fied by this irie 5 piece band. Lead singer Becky Gilsdorf takes on all genres from alternative rock to R&B to pop and adds funky reggae flair. Guitarist Brian Gross-Bias and keyboard player Russ Courtney alternate between the reggae backbeats and face melting solos. Holding down the rhythm and providing silky harmonies are the Baker brothers Nick and Bubba who keep the beats funky and the dance floor moving.
The Rock Show: Aside from a few lineup changes, this band has been putting on Rock Show for the past 16 years. It features members of many Toledo bands including: Flabongo Nation, Captain Sweet Shoes, The Sweatpants, Jah Rule, Empire Drift and more. Born out of a desire to get friends and family together around Christmas, the show evolved into an opportunity to give back to the community that supports the Toledo music scene all year long. All bands and band members that play in the Rock Show donate their time and talent for this show and all proceeds directly benefit that years revolving charity. This year we are proud to support helphopelive for Jason Finn and the Great Lakes Spinal Cord Injury Fund.
The Rock Show band brings an energetic, costumed performance of Rock, Hip Hop, and always a few Christmas Classics with a fun atmosphere and special guest performers. This years members include: Justin Dumas, Nick Baker, Allen Spencer, Bubba Baker, Anthony Beck, Jon Perez de Tagle, and features special guests Laura Crawford, Scott Biddle, and more
