The Hermit of Fort Fisher by Big Dawg Productions
After a life-time of failure, a man leaves his home, takes up residence in a concrete bunker in the marshland of Ft. Fisher and survives for 17 years, becoming a success as a hermit. Based on the true-life story of Robert Harrell, who touched the lives of thousands in the process of saving his own. The Ft. Fisher Hermit became famous around the world for his humanity and his refusal to live life by anyone elses standards. Big Dawg is proud to bring David Anthony Wrights poignant yet humorous drama to our audience once more, after selling out two previous productions in Wilmington and Southport, as well as presenting it to over 600 people in four nights in a third outdoor production at the Greenfield Lake Amphitheater.
