2017 ATOM-r Benefit
Ring in the New Year by funding us forward!

Please join us on January 12th to raise awareness and funding for Chicago-based performance group ATOM-r  Anatomical Theatres of Mixed Reality.

The event is billed as an evening of revelry, as well as a preview of the groups latest concept Kjell Theøry, incorporating aspects of performance in relation to artificial intelligence, theories of digital embodiment, queer histories of computing, and Alan Turing's engagement with the mathematics of flowers. The benefit takes place at the home of ATOM-r's 2016 artist residency, the International Museum of Surgical Science.

Proceeds will directly impact ATOM-rs 2017 operating costs, which include a world premiere at The Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts in Chicago, as well as travelling the piece to New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and throughout Europe.

Set amongst ATOM-r's residency exhibition Kjell Theøry: Prologue, enjoy drinks & hors d'oeuvres from our favorite restaurants and purveyors around the city, as well as live performances in the museum's famed Hall of Immortals by ATOM-r, experimental composer Owen Clayton Condon, and a dance party by Slo 'Mo Party's DJ Audio Jack. Patrons will also receive a copy of The Operature, a limited edition 60-page augmented reality performance publication, created in collaboration with PINUPS zine. Show your support and celebrate with us!

Can't attend, but would still like to support ATOM-r? Purchase a ticket as a gift for a friend, family member, colleague or just to let us know you're with us in spirit!

ATOM-r has presented works in progress performances of Kjell Theøry at the former Black Mountain College, Asheville; Rapid Pulse International Performance Festival, Chicago; Perform Chinatown, Los Angeles; Chicago Architecture Biennial; Mint Gallery, Columbus; Arts West, Athens, OH; Catch Series, Chicago; Grace Space, New York City; Madhause, Helsinki; The Spire, Brighton; and The Lightbox, Detroit. The work was supported and developed through residencies at the National Museum of Health and Medicine, Chicago; The Department of Cultural Affairs In the Works Residency, Chicago; The International Museum of Surgical Science, Chicago; The Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts, Chicago; the University of Chichester Dance Department, England; and the University of the Arts, Helsinki.

Our many thanks to you for your continued support!
