The latest in this series of informances on twenty-first century music that explores the connection between predetermined structure (composition) and performer interpretation (improvisation,) this evening's presentation features Roscoe Mitchell, one of the pioneers of the improvised music scene and a founding member of the historically important AACM (Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians) and the Art Ensemble of Chicago.
