Anglicanism Catholic and Reformed: the PBS USA Conference 2017
In the anniversary year of Luther's promulgation of the ninety-five theses which started the Reformation this conference will explore the ways in which Anglicanism emerged with an identity that is both truly reformed and enduringly catholic. The proceedings will be of interest for lay people as well as clergy, academics and seminarians and will take place in the beautiful and historic surroundings of Savannah Georgia from midday on Thursday 16th to Midday on Saturday 18th February 2017 (though there will be opportunities to meet and explore the city both the day before and over the Sunday following also.
This conference is organized by the Prayer Book Society of the USA with the Elliot House in Savannah and is hosted in the gracious environs of St John's Church Savannah and its celebrated Green-Meldrim House. A special rate for the conference is available at the DeSoto Hilton in Savannah (on 15 E Liberty), (Michelle Holland may be contacted there on 912-443-2004) and please ask for the St. John's rate. Leading speakers include Oliver O'Donovan Professor of Moral Theology of Edinburgh and previously Oxford University, as we'll as Dr. Joan O'Donovan and Bishop Geoffrey Rowell former Anglican Bishop in Europe and Chaplain of Keble College Oxford. Among others speaking will be Neil Robertson, Professor of Philosophy at King's College Halifax, Gillis Harp, Professor of History, Grove City College, PA, Dr Roberta Bayer, Editor of the Anglican Way and Professor of Government at Patrick Henry College, Dr George Westhaver of Pusey House Oxford, Dr Arnold Klukas Professor Emeritus of Nashotah House and Dr Jesse Billett of the Toronto School of Theology

The Sessions will encourage discussion and engagement by all those attending and will also feature shorter presentations on current work and research. There will be ample opportunities to meet fellow participants and speakers at the conference which includes an evening reception in the Green-Meldrim House as well as light breakfasts and other refreshments.
There will be a daily Eucharist and a Festal Choral Evensong on Friday as well as a closing Choral Eucharist on the Saturday. The full programme will be released shortly.
