The Snow Queen, by Evgeny Schwartz (Seattle)
Snip-snap-snorum, Rex-Basilorum! Gerda and Kay live in a small attic apartment with their grandmother. When the Snow Queen bewitches Kay and takes him away to the land of the icecaps, Gerda must set out on an adventure to save her brother.
'The Snow Queen' by the beloved Russian playwright, Evgeny Schwartz, is an adaptation of the classic Hans Christian Andersen tale. It stays true to the danger and excitement of the source material, while adding some Russian melancholy and dark humor. This production is a brand new translation of the play and the English language premiere.
Dachas Snow Queen is an immersive show. Audiences will find themselves transported into the world of talking birds, treacherous kings, and lovable bandits. The story will happen all around them and maybe they'll even take part in the action.
A magical winter evening for adults and children alike.
