Jingle Jazz
Thursday, December 8, 2016!

Peninsula College Foundation and The Olympus Group at D.A. Davidson present Jingle Jazz, featuring the Peninsula College Vocal Jazz Ensemble, with internationally known Pearl Django. The performance is slated to begin at 7:30PM on December 9, in the Peninsula College Little Theater. This popular concert, now in its fourth year, is a "must-see" for anyone who wants to kick off the holiday season with style, verve and song.

And, come early! A no-host dessert and wine reception, with fresh pressed cider from Lazy J Tree Farm, will allow concert goers to indulge in the sweetness of the season beginning at 6:30 pm in the PC Pirate Union Building. The concert will begin promptly at 7:30 pm as it broadcasts live on AM 1450 and FM 101.7 KONP Radio.

Tickets are $15 online and at the door, based on availability. Online ticket sales will close 24 hours before this event (at 7:30pm PST on 12/7/16).

Proceeds benefit Peninsula College students and programs.

About Pearl Django:
With a performance history spanning more than two decades, Pearl Django endures as one of the most highly regarded Hot Club style groups working today. Although the bands roots are firmly in the music made famous by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli, its extensive repertoire includes traditional jazz classics and original compositions. Pearl Django has performed at festivals, dances and nightspots throughout the U.S. and abroad. They have played at the prestigious Festival Django Reinhardt in Samois sur Seine and have been featured on NPRs All Things Considered. The bands signature style is marked by pristine and dexterous string work, colors of Bal Musette, the steady pulse of rhythm guitar and an unmistakable swing that delights audiences of all musical sensibilities. Throughout the years, Pearl Django has cultivated a devoted and enthusiastic following and they continue to play to packed houses wherever they perform.
