SHUFFLE DOWN FESTIVAL 2017
Shuffle Down Festival will return for its 3rd year running and will return to the Dobbie Hall on May 20th
The event is one of the biggest independent alternative music events in the local calendar and has attracted over 500 music fans for the previous 2 years.
The stunning main Dobbie Hall stage plays host to several live acts throughout the day with a 2nd stage upstairs The Cloud Room" showcasing solo acts during the day and live electronic music into the evening.
As well as the music there will be some fabulous Arts & Crafts stalls selling some great music related trinkets, art and clothing, The Shuffle Lounge chill out area and several bars around the building including local brewery Tryst Brewery who will be hosting their own bar selling real cask ales, craft beers and cider. Outside will be a Live Street Food Tent selling gourmet sausages, venison burgers and lots more with produce supplied by local butchers R.Brown & Son. There will also be more with an Artisan Coffee stall hosted by The Common Grind.
Main Stage Scottish band of the moment 6-piece Soul pop rock outfit Pronto Mama, rock and roll trio Miracle Glass Company will return to the festival after wowing the crowd last year, Americana Country act Have Mercy Las Vegas will be sure to have the hall jigging.
Falkirk based acts include; 7-piece indie folk act Fly Jackson, indie rock outfit Fairweather & The Elements, rock band Weird Decibels and fast rising indie band Ghøstwriter.
Finally Glasgow indie dance-punk giants Mickey 9s, will close the days music!
The Cloud Room Bristol based Scot Lonely Tourist, hugely talented solo artists Adam Stafford, Robbie Lesiuk Music and acoustic star Kieran Fisher Music will play the Cloud Room day time session, with the electronic music coming from techno songstress HQFU, the mysteriously masked Kvasir, Edinburgh live electronic act EARfATHER and local acid barons Arc/wlf and electronica act Circling with Defence records boss OnTheFly and Jamie Irwin on DJ duties.
The day starts at 2pm and tickets are priced at £19 and available from www.shuffledown.co.uk, Noise Noise Noise on Vicar Street and Stirling Cycle Hub.
£1 from every ticket sold will be donated to a Larbert based charity Kidney Kids Scotland and the event hopes to raise a few more pounds for the charity on the day of the event.
The Dobbie Hall is a stone's throw from Larbert train station with great links to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling and more.
