2017 Spring Growing Groceries
Interested in learning about growing your own vegetables? WSU Extension Master Gardeners are presenting their third annual Growing Groceries classes for the community. Class participants will learn the fundamentals needed to grow vegetables in our unique climate. This six week class will cover seed starting, soil building, garden planning, pest management and much more.
Classes will take place on six Friday evenings (6-9 pm) in the classroom, one movie night and three Saturday afternoons (1-4 pm) for field trips and hands-on practice, February 3rd through March 10th at the Marina Room in Port Townsend. Class size is limited so participants need to sign up early. Applications are being accepted through January 27th. Cost is $65 and scholarships are available.
