Local Plates, Local Pints
Black Mountain chefs team up with the Black Mountain Tailgate Market to prepare a "taste of the market" benefit event on September 13 from 4-7 p.m. on the field at Pisgah Brewing Company, 150 Eastside Drive in Black Mountain, NC. The event, entitled Local Plates, Local Pints, features samples of foods from market farmers and producers prepared by Black Mountain chefs, Pisgah beer samples and a Silent Auction.
Participating chefs are: Cookie Hadley, The Morning Glory Café; Carl Tayloe, Que Sera; Kris Hegge and Bud Rainey, Louise's Kitchen; Mark Tomczak, FRESH Wood Fired Pizza and Pasta and Marcus Duarte, The Red Radish. Also participating are Black Mountain Tailgate Market members Hollie West, Sweet Monkey Catering and Clark Mitchell, Roots & Branches along with Sakshi Gantenbein, Sakshi's Nut Roastery and Rachel Vickers, Rachel's Delectables.
The well-known and loved band, Sons of Ralph, will perform their traditional and alternative bluegrass music.
