The Hollywood Foreign Press Association & Hollywood Heritage Present: Evening @ the Barn - Remembering Valentino
On Wednesday, December 14, 2016 Hollywood Heritage in Association with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association presents a program commemorating the 90th Anniversary of Rudolph Valentino's Passing.
The presentation will include a rare kinescope interview with the original Lady in Black Ditra Flame and also a largely unseen kinescope of an interview with Gloria Swanson reflecting on Valentino which originally aired on August 23, 1976, the 50th anniversary of his passing. Additionally we will screen several Valentino videos created for and solely shown at the annual Valentino Memorial Service. We will also be showing the original film "Death of the Sheik" from Rudolph Valentino Productions, Hollywood Forever Cemetery and Panavision starring Vladislav Kozlov. All of these videos have never been shown elsewhere nor can they be found on YouTube. They contain rare images of Valentino, his two funerals, as well as video footage of inside Falcon Lair and much, much more!
A selection of memorabilia related to his legacy will be on display in our front gallery. Refreshments will be served on the front deck and raffle of unique and interesting items will be offered. Valentino fans rejoice!
