Ecology Center envisions a world where human activity nurtures the ecosystems that we all depend on - a world of green cities; empowered, resilient communities; zero waste and zero toxics; equal access to healthy food; sustainable resource use; and a safe and stable climate.
This friendraiser brunch is free but registration is required. There is no requirement that anyone give at the event, however, there will be an "ask". More than anything, we want to share our amazing work with you and other folks who may not be as familiar with the Ecology Center.
We will have inspiring presentations from special guest speakers such as the Honorable Senator Loni Hancock, Markos Moulitsas Zuniga (founder and publisher of Daily Kos), Annie Leonard (Executive Director of Greenpeace USA and founder of the Story of Stuff), Nancy Schimmel (singer), our Youth Environmental Academy alumnus, Kad Smith, and more! We would be thrilled if you could join us and also invite those in your network who are passionate about the Ecology Centers mission to inspire and build a sustainable, healthy, and just future for the East Bay, California, and beyond.
Food & Mimosas: Delight in delicious, seasonal, wholesome brunch provided by long-time Berkeley Farmers' Market shopper and talented caterer Lucy Aghadjian. Brunch options will make vegetarians and vegans smile.
