Want to learn how to make a Dorset button? Check out this class! Dorset buttons originated in Dorset, England at least two centuries ago, providing work for families in a cottage industry. We will make two buttons in this class, a basic Dorset button and a flower bouquet variation. Dorset buttons can be made with very fine threads up to lace and sock weight yarns.
All supplies, plus a 4-page handout, are provided for a $1 materials fee. This is a beginner project, but students should be comfortable working small.
