A Christmas Carol
Carpinterians know Christmas is right around the corner when they find their neighbors, friends, schoolmates, or even themselves busy with rehearsals for the traditional staging of Charles Dickens beloved holiday tale, A Christmas Carol.
Produced by the Plaza Playhouse Theater, directed by Jordana Lawrence, and starring an all-local cast, this seasons staging of A Christmas Carol runs Friday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 4, at 3 p.m., Friday, Dec.9, at 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 11, at 3 p.m., at the Plaza Playhouse Theater, 4916 Carpinteria Ave. in downtown Carpinteria.
This classic tale centers on Ebenezer Scrooge, who has lost his Christmas spirit. He is visited by the ghost of his former partner, Jacob Marley and is told he needs to mend his ways or he will end up like himself. He is to be visited by three spirits- Christmas Past, Present and of Christmas Yet to Come. If he learns from these Spirits he can change his future and those close to him. Come see how Ebenezer Scrooge learn some valuable lessons that we can all learn from and is still relevant today.
Tickets are available online, Seastrand (919 Linden Ave., by cash or check only), and at the theater box office the day of the performance. Ticket prices are $15 general admission, $12 students and seniors, and $7 for children under 12.
