Intro to Leatherwork - Create & Make Workshop
In this class, you will learn more than you could have asked for about the art of working with leather, all while making a sweet little credit card holder.
When do you hand sew? When do you use a machine? When do you glue and finish edges? What is "hardware" and when/why do you use it? Deb Shannon of Kittywake Designs can answer those questions and much more as we go over the basics of hand working leather. We will be going old school and learning the beautiful art of hand sewing leather.
No previous experience necessary. You supply the imaginative spirit, we supply a selection of wonderful recycled leathers, tools, and hardware!
Brought to you by the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council.
