Presented By: John Rewolinski, Senior Scheduler with Sound Transit
John Rewolinski is currently working with Sound Transit as a Senior Scheduler, and is also pioneering new technology with many applications. Over the past 20 years John has worked as a carpenter, contractor, designer, owner representative and private consultant. John has created the Adjustable Compartmentalized Standard scheduling method and contributed on many large scale mega-projects in various capacities. John is still pioneering cutting edge Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology including a 4-D scheduling model and Virtual Reality Models for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.
Historically, the AEC industry has followed the technological advances from video game and 3-D design modeling. This remains true for Virtual Reality technology. We currently sit on the precipice of this technology becoming an industry standard, instead of merely a luxury.
John will outline several practical applications for Virtual Reality technology including design, construction, and planning. Construction general contractors, consulting firms, architects, and engineering firms alike can all benefit from these applications and lead the industry into a new age of project communication and visualization.
The presentation will conclude with a hands-on demonstration of a fictional jobsite seen through the Virtual Reality headset. Attendees will get a first-hand look at this cutting edge technology and see one application of 3-D Virtual Reality modeling in action.
