Transcending Borders
AVoLA's winter concert, Transcending Borders, is centered on a work by composer Mason Bates called Mass Transmission. Mass Transmission tells the true story of a distantly-separated family communicating over the earliest radio transmissions. The piece is scored for computer organ and choir.
The concert will also feature pieces by Bach, Brahms, Vierne, Kodaly, Janacek, and Parry.
