ACTORSNET HOLDS SPECIAL STAGED READING: THE LARAMIE PROJECT A TRUE TRAGIC TALE EVENT: THE LARAMIE PROJECT: ActorsNET continues its 21st season with a special event - A staged reading of The Laramie Project one of the most performed plays in America! In October 1998 Matthew Shepard was kidnapped, severely beaten and left to die, tied to a fence on the outskirts of Laramie, Wyoming. Five weeks later, Moisés Kaufman and fellow members of the Tectonic Theater Project went to Laramie, and over the course of the next year, conducted more than 200 interviews with people of the town. From these interviews they wrote this play to chronicle of life in the town of Laramie in the year after the murder.
Directed by John Boccanfusco and produced by Victoria Benn. Lighting design by Andrena Wishnie. The cast includes Susan Blair, Sheldon Jackson, Marilyn Licciardello, Marco Newton, Mort Paterson, Hannah Rapaport-Stein, Hayley Rubins-Topoleski and Dominick Sannelli.
SHOW DATES: Nov. 11 13, 2016. (One weekend, three performances only)
TIMES: Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m. and Sunday, 2 p.m.
PLACE: The Heritage Center, 635 North Delmorr Avenue (Route 32), Morrisville, PA near the Calhoun Street Bridge.
ADMISSION: All seats $10 season ticket holders receive a $2 discount.
