Bus Trip - NYC: Hamilton US Customs House and Fraunces Tavern
The Historical Society of Rockland County Invites You to Join Us on a Daytrip to Visit Alexander Hamilton US Customs House (home of the National Museum of the American Indian) and Fraunces Tavern
Date: February 4, 2017 Time: Leaves the Historical Society at 9:00am; returns at 4:15pm
Fee: HSRC Members $109 per person; Non-members $119 per person, includes bus transportation, docent-led tours and a delicious luncheon
Leave the driving (and parking) to us! Home of the National Museum of the American Indians George Gustav Heye Center, the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House is one of the most splendid Beaux Arts buildings in New York. Rich in architectural and historic significance, the custom house is a National Historic Landmark, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We will enjoy a docent-led tour of the historic and architectural features of this important building after which guests will have 40 minutes to explore the museum of the American Indian. Then, we will walk to Fraunces Tavern for a delicious luncheon. After lunch, guests will have time for either a docent-led or self-guided visit through Fraunces Tavern Museum, a 1719 building filled with a collection devoted to the history of NYs role in Colonial America, the Revolutionary War, and the Early Republic.

Cancellation policy: Refunds will only be given if space can be filled by another guest prior to trip. A waiting list will be compiled and available spaces filled on a first come, first served basis. Only those with full payment will be accommodated.
