ABOUT PEDRO CORDAS

Pedro has performed in Europe, North America and Japan, and he regularly teaches and presents workshops in Portugal, Spain, France, The Netherlands, U.K., Germany, U.S.A. and Canada.

In 2015 Pedro released a kinbaku community-acclaimed video called "Jyowa," which means "rope stories." The film features some of Japan's most prominent kinbaku figures, including (by order of appearance) Naka Akira, Yukimura Haruki, Nawashi Kanna, Urado Hiroshi and Hajime Kinoko.


ABOUT TANGLE

Tangle is a veteran rope bottom based out of Toronto. She has performed and taught at workshops across the great Lakes region as well as London and Berlin.

CLASSES
IN AND OUT OF THE JAPANESE AESTHETIC - EXPLORING CREATIVITY
DATE: FRIDAY APRIL 14TH 7PM-10PM DOORS AT 6:30
PLACE - SUBSPACE STUDIO DUNGEON
PREREQUISITE: Single column tie (Beginner friendly)
COST: $90 PER COUPLE

DESCRIPTION: In this class, Pedro will use 1 or 2 ropes in combination with simple tying techniques to explore many positions arms, legs and both combined. Students can expect to be challenged to create distinct poses and the basics of effectively binding someone into those poses. Along the way you'll learn tips to make positions easier or more challenging for your partner.


PEDRO ADVANCED SUSPENSION INTENSIVE
DATE: SATURDAY AND SUNDAY APRIL 15&16, 11AM TO 6PM
(INCLUDES APPROXIMATELY 60 MINUTE LUNCH)
PREREQUISITE: STEM-BASED BOXTIE (SUCH AS THE KAZAMI BOXTIE), SUSPENSION LINES, EXPERIENCE WITH SUSPENSION TRANSITIONS.
COST: $ 445 PER COUPLE.

NOTE: THIS WILL BE A VERY CHALLENGING WEEKEND AND CAN BE STRESSFUL ON ROPE MODELS/BOTTOMS IN PARTICULAR.  ADMISSION CAN INCLUDE MULTIPLE MODELS/BOTTOMS AS NECESSARY TO ENSURE SAFETY DURING PARTICIPATION IN THE WORKSHOP.

DESCRIPTION: This is a weekend intensive focusing on a diverse range of techniques for suspension. There will be a limited class size in order to ensure that students receive maximum attention.

Topics:

Day 1:
Transitional suspension - blending orthogonal transitions with torsion poses.

Waki-Sarashi - Hands behind the head harness and suspension pose(s).

Unusual transitions - Looking for transition solutions outside of the  the traditional spectrum.

Agura (cross-legged binding) - Harness and suspension with transitions.

Day 2:

Addressing breath control and open Aesthetics of the body in suspension

Incorporating horizontal Bamboo in suspensions

Hojo-inspired suspensions (Two approaches)

Rope handling tricks and tips.


TEPPOU SUSPENSION AND FINGER BONDAGE (Asymmetric suspension poses)
DATE: MONDAY APRIL 17,  1PM-6PM
PREREQUISITE: STEM-BASED BOXTIE (SUCH AS THE KAZAMI BOXTIE), Strong experience with full suspension.
Cost: $160 Per Couple

This class will explore variations on the Teppou Tsuri poses, and incorporating finger bondage into suspension harnesses.

Teppou refers to an assymetric upper body harness that places one arm high behind the head, and the other low behind the back.  This adds considerable complications to suspension, both in terms of safety and complexity.

Students will also learn about adapting this harness style to the body of their partner and how to adapt several finger bondage techniques to any situation.
