The people have spoken! By the end of our Latin Bugalú party in October, the crowd was clamoring for another - so we're gonna do it!
Saturday, November 19, the ONLY place in town to be is the Accurate Records loft in Somerville, shaking your money maker to the 1960's latin grooves of Richie Ray, Joe Cuba, George Guzman and Pete Rodriguez as reinterpreted by the eight members of Lookie Lookie.
The event is a PARTY. We supply food and drink, we ask you to bring more of what you like to drink and perhaps some food if you're in the mood. Mostly more drinks...!
We are simplifying the pricing into three tiers this time. The minimum is $20 - a great deal! If you have the means to pay extra for the higher tiers, rest assured that you are doing more to assure that we can keep this scene going. And, we do very much appreciate when you pay in advance through Brown Paper Tickets.

Lookie Lookie plays Latin Bugalú, a super fun 60s sound that combines Afro-Caribbean rhythms with rock and soul sensibility. The lyrics are in Spanish and English, the band features four percussionists, three horns and bass - and five singers.
The band is an all-star assemblage of sensation-seeking sybarites:
Chris Maclachlan (Human Sexual Response) - bass
Vicente Lebron (Either/Orchestra, Club D'Elf) - congas
Jorge Arce (Raiz de Plena, Humano) - bongo, cowbell
Rick Barry (Bim Skala Bim) - timbales, more cowbell
Ken Winokur (Alloy Orchestra) - percussion
Scott Getchell (Lars Vegas, Agachiko) - trumpet
Ted DeColo (Funky White Honkies) - alto sax, flute
Russ Gershon (Either/Orchestra, Orchestra Morphine) - tenor sax, flute
And lots of singing...even a dance lesson by Jorge!

Accurate Records is up three flights of stairs, but we have a freight elevator. Please arrange in advance with Russ if you would like to use the elevator.
