Café Nordo Presents: Christmas is Burning
Join the elite forces of the Holiday Defense League as they valiantly struggle to save the most wonderful day of the year and try to solve the mystery: Why? Why? Why are killer robots from the future trying to ruin Christmas?
From the off-kilter mind of playwright and puppeteer Scot Augustson (AKA Sgt Rigsby) and the renowned and whimsical kitchens of Cafe Nordo comes the holiday show you were least expecting. Its Science Fiction! Its a heart-warming holiday tale! Its a tantalizing feast! It's Terminator meets Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
Sgt. Rigsby evokes the bygone era of the radioplay, with nimble musicians and voiceover artists Evan Mosher and Shawnmarie Stanton evoking over 50 characters as shadow puppets dance across the Viewscreen on the bridge of the HMS Whooville, telling a time-traveling-timeless tale of what is truly important about our Holiday Season.
The live-action crew of the space-ship is piloted by Ray Tagavilla, Opal Peachey, Roy Stanton, Libby Barnard and Alyssa Norling. Their foibles, office romances and sudden deaths will send even the Grinch himself into chuckles. A live band lead by Michael Owcharuk will delight our audiences with original carols as well as jazzy holiday favorites you cant help but be happy to hear at this time of year.
Each ticket includes a 4 course holiday feast designed by Chef Erin Brindley featuring delicacies including Reindeer Shepard's Pie and Baby Jesus Bread Loaf as well as a glass of sparkling wine. There will be a festive cocktail and wine menu with many yuletide favorites to order as well.
