Surel's Place House Concert: Belinda Bowler
Surel's Place is pleased to fill our home with the music of local favorite Belinda Bowler. This intimate, one-night only benefit will be a special opportunity for a small group to be serenaded by Ms. Bowler as she performs new music from her most recent CD, Trumpet Vine. $50 of your ticket price is a tax-deductible donation to Surel's Place.
Seating is extremely limited. Wine and hor d'oeuvres will accompany opportunities for conversation with the artist between sets.
Belinda Bowler has been singing as long as she can remember. Her father was a professional singer and she grew up in a home where music was a centerpiece. When she was in the 2nd grade she picked up a guitar, learned three chords, and was off and running. She began singing professionally when she was in college and spent several years touring the Northwest and a couple of tours through Great Britain. Her life took a turn when she became an elementary school educator for a ten year period. She continues to spend time in schools, but now as a music teacher.
The evening is a benefit performance for Surel's Place, a 501(c)3 non-profit that honors the legacy of artist Surel Mitchell by offering her home and studio to artists of promise, and of renown, for month-long residencies and professionally supported art events. In this inspiring live/work space artists of all disciplines are given time and freedom to reflect, create, and share their work with the Idaho community.
