Heather Dale at Glebe St James Church
Canadian recording artist & touring musician Heather Dale writes songs for imaginative people who arent afraid to be different.
Known for her interpretations of ancient legends, Heather's original music and tireless touring have earned her a broad international following. She cheerfully disregards the limits for both folk singer-songwriters and Celtic balladeers, and fuses the folk tradition with blues and jazz influences. Her original music is powerful stuff... with a depth and resonance rooted in its mythic sources" (Vancouver Sun), and is reminiscent of Loreena McKennitt and Sarah McLachlan.
As a modern woman with Celtic roots, Heather is perhaps best known for her Youtube hit Mordreds Lullaby (12.7 million views as of 2016) and has released 17 recordings. The Heather Dale Band has been touring extensively around North America and Europe since 2004, with 100+ shows per year from 2004 to 2014.
In 2016, Heather released her first original musical theatre production (Queens of Avalon), which was the result of a highly successful crowdfunding campaign. The fundraising drive raised $56,000 (140% of the original goal), and garnered the attention of The Globe and Mail, who called it one of the top crowdfunding campaigns of 2014.
Heather will perform selections from her 14 studio albums in the intimate surroundings of Glebe St James Church.
