The Rusty Buckets in Concert at the Marshall Grange
The Rusty Buckets are coming to the Marshall Grange for an evening of music, dancing and fun on Friday November 11 beginning at 7:30 pm. This band of troubadours always bring a good time to a show, whether they are playing large venues like the Telegrass Festival and Auburn Event Center or a small place like Marcos Café in Coloma. They put a new twist to old timey music, mixing a variety of genres with an acoustic flavor, and then step outside the box exploring the psychedelic, reggae, and funk influences that each individual member brings to the group. The core group is made up of Jonny "Mojo" Flores (of Achilles Wheel fame) on guitar and lead vocals, Doug not Josh (formerly of New Mexico reggae act Liquid Cheese) on the mandolin and guitar, Lisa Bond on fiddle, Dan "Mad Monk" Abbott on Bass, and Colt Langstaff on drums. Sharing the writing and vocal duties, the band has come up with a recognizable unique sound loosely based on old-time Americana, jam, reggae, psychedelia and funk; something for everyone in the audience. Over the past couple of years the Buckets have shared the stage with some of the best talent in Northern California including Hot Buttered Rum, Poor Man's Whiskey, Achilles Wheel, The Dead Winter Carpenters, The Good Luck Thrift Store Outfit, and Roy Rogers. You can check out their songs and videos at www.therustybuckets.com/.
Now they are bringing their good time vibes to the Marshall Grange, for a memorable evening of dancing music and fun. The Marshall Grange is located at 4940 Marshall Road, in Garden Valley. Driving directions may be found at www.marshallgrange.org. For further information call 530-642-8671
