Sea Cider Maker Series: Harvest Cider Making Workshop
Join us for a convivial morning of libations and learning about cider making at Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse!
The history of cider making preceded the wine era by many centuries. Every nation, every class, every age has had differing methods for the production of these earliest brews.
Participants in this workshop will have the opportunity to press their own apple juice from genuine cider apples. We will taste the prime ingredient before it is fermented (as well as after) and learn the basic steps necessary for successful hard cider production.
We will explore the history of cider from around the world and around our own Island. Through sample tastings and hands on, experiential education we will delve into the ancient and ongoing relationship between humans and apples.
