Event
Protect Our Mother
We are going to dance to generate funding and awareness in Honor of Standing Rock's call to vigilance and change.
This event is a call to action to protect local land, water and well being from the threat of fracking. Activism in its highest form is an expression of individual gifts and community strength.
We will heal our communities from within, we need to protect the Earth beneath our feet and help shape the reality we live in more powerfully. We must Stand Up for change that brings justice, safety and beauty to the forefront of humanity's expression, because we are capable of way more than this mess we have gotten ourselves into. We ARE!
Live music starts upstairs at 7 p.m. goes until midnight DJs downstairs from 10 p.m. - 2 a.m.
We seed this beginning of many events that are not a distraction from what is going on but a call to action! Let's light some fires for cultural, environmental, political and personal change, it's literally all the same thing.
We are calling on artists, musicians, poets and lovers of it all to be part of a celebratory evening that generates awareness and funding to protect the Earth and serves to inspire a cultural shift at personal levels. Humanity is capable of the kind of change that heals the past, transform the present and sustains the future!
Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit our local non-profit CAIA (Citizens Allied for Integrity and Accountability). Their focus is currently on legislation regulating fracking in Idaho. Your contributions will also go toward Standing Rock's camp fund, and legal defense fund.
Citizens Allied for Integrity and Accountability (C.A.I.A.), is an Idaho citizens-based, grassroots, non-partisan, non-profit organization that was formed in 2015 specifically to represent and educate the public, as well as our officials, and to protect private property rights, public health, safety and our critical resources from this impending threat. Please go to http://www.integrityandaccountability.org/ for more info, to become a volunteer on our working team and to donate toward our operating expenses and legal challenge of SB1339.
