The Taming of the Shrew
The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company will open its fall tour of Shakespeares The Taming of the Shrew at the Red Barn Theater in Saugatuck with a one-night-only appearance on October 29 at 7:30 p.m.. The Saugatuck performance is produced in partnership with 63rd Street Productions. Tickets to the October 29 performance are $15 for adults, and $12 for students and seniors.
The Taming of the Shrew follows Katherina, a woman with a reputation for being outspoken and headstrong. When her father decrees that Katherinas younger sister, Bianca, cant get married until Katherina does, Biancas many suitors recruit a man named Petruchio to try to woo Katherina. Sparks fly in an ongoing battle of the wits between Katherina and Petruchio. Pigeon Creeks production is directed by Kat Hermes, and features actors Brieanne Roper as Katherina and John Scritchfield as Petruchio. The rest of the cast includes Lauren Ashley, Ann Celeste Cloyd, Michael Dodge, Jacqueline Frid, Kimberlee Griggs, Scott Lange, Ashley Normand, Bruno Streck Rodrigues, Scott Wright.
