Rhoslyn Jones & Sam Siegel: Opera Classics & Broadway at Cozy Concerts
Rhoslyn Jones, Canadian soprano hailed as "the delicious diva," has had an important presence on both Concert and Operatic stages of the United States and Canada. She appeared as Roxane opposite Placido Domingo's Cyrano de Bergerac at SF Opera, where she was also a prestigious Adler Fellow. Rhoslyn has performed in dozens of operas, with such companies as Vancouver Opera, Pacific Opera Victoria, Arizona Opera, and Opera Santa Barbara. Described as a "superb singer and artistic presence," Rhoslyn's voice is "luscious, and her soul opens forthrightly and generously to the audience."
Sam Siegel, Bay Area countertenor, attended the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts. He was awarded the Gold Award from the prestigious National YoungArts Foundation and has been nominated to be a Presidential Scholar of the Arts. In 2015, he was awarded two first-place prizes in the SF Bay Area NATS Competition, and traveled to Boston and Chicago for the Classical Singer Vocal Competition. Sam made his opera debut in Handels Serse with SOTA Vocal in San Francisco. He performed in Brazil, Spain, China, South Africa, and Russia during his eight years in the Pacific Boychoir.
