Claudia Schmidt and Sally Rogers celebrate 35 years of singing together with the release of a new CD with fun, powerful, high-energy songs. It's sure to be an exuberant CD release concert/party at the well-known Worcester Coffeehouse, John Henry's Hammer. This venue is considered the best "listening room" in Central Massachusetts. Music, plus the availability of a light dinner and other refreshments! DOORS OPEN AT 6:30 so you can relax and have a bite to eat!
More than 4 decades as a touring professional have found
Michigan native Claudia Schmidt traversing North America as well as Europe in venues ranging from intimate clubs to 4,000 seat theaters, and festival stages in front of 25,000 rapt listeners. She has recorded nineteen albums of mostly original songs, exploring folk, blues, and jazz idioms featuring her acclaimed 12-string guitar and mountain dulcimer playing. Her stories are mesmerizing as well as her voice.
Sally Rogers is a gifted performer and musician, but she is also a passionate educator, always trying to find the best window into learning. Sally Rogers performs traditional, contemporary and original ballads and song, interwoven with stories taken from her life as a performer, a wife and a mother. Throughout her concerts, she accompanies herself on guitar and Appalachian dulcimer, or performs without accompaniment in a voice that needs no further enhancement.
