Tenth Anniversary Season Opening Concert
Orchestra Miami opens its Tenth Anniversary Season with a spectacular concert in the acoustically perfect auditorium of Miami's Scottish Rite Temple! Revel in the Romance of Rachmaninoff, the Passion of Piazzola and the elegance and excitement of Tchaikovsky in this concert which features our stellar string section,along with special guests Tomás Cotik, violinist and Eglise Gutierrez, soprano, conducted by Orchestra Miami's Artistic Director, Elaine Rinaldi.
The program opens with the lively Divertimento for Strings, K. 136 by W.A. Mozart followed by the "Argentinian Four Seasons" Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas by Astor Piazzola. Following intermission, internationally renowned soprano Eglise Gutierrez will sing Rachmaninoff's lushly romantic "Vocalise" and the concert concludes with Tchaikovsky's exciting Serenade for Strings in C Major, Op. 48.
