Sound Bites: Origin Story (Season Finale)
A collaboration between the Salt Institute for Documentary studies at MECA, The Corner storytelling series in Lewiston, and Frontier, Sound Bites is a new kind of storytelling series. With a dedicated theme tying each Bite together, the night will feature regional Moth StorySlam Champions, locals sharing true tales, and audio and media pulled from the 43 years of Maine history in the Salt Archive. The seventh and final installment of the season, Origin Story, will feature the talents of 97.9 WJBQ's Morning Show host Lori Voornas; comedian and Moth Vermont StorySlam producer Sue Schmidt; blogger at The Bangor Daily News and partner at the multimedia content production house, Knack Factory - Alex Steed; Moth MainStage and GrandSlam winner and author of The Clancys of Queens: A Memoir, Tara Clancy; TedX speaker, classicist and teacher, tattoo artist and owner of Tsunami Tattoo - Phuc Tran; Dean of the College, Maine College of Art, artist, exhibitor and educator - Ian Anderson.
Sound Bites is made possible by generous contributions from Allagash Brewing Company and Toad & Co.
All tickets sales are final. No refunds will be given. If a show is subject to a cancellation, we will notify you of the rescheduled date as soon as we are made aware.
