Muddy Ruckus is an americana-rock duo from Portland, Maine. The stripped down power duo features guitarist Ryan Flaherty and percussionist Erika Stahl. The band blends rootsy guitar and edgy percussion on a suitcase drum kit and is known for a full rock band sound, despite that they're a duo. They season their music with the salt of the eastern old ports, backroad electric grooves, and the mud of the Mississippi River where Flaherty grew up. The New York Music Daily calls Muddy Ruckus "Darkly Inventive Americana". In April 2016, Muddy Ruckus was awarded "Best in State of Maine" by the New England Music Awards.
Led by the songwriting of violist Laurence Scudder and guitarist Erik White, Spotted Tiger is rounded out by a malleable all-star combination of Boston area players. Together they play an inspiring variety of originals & hand-picked covers. Spotted Tiger sometimes acoustic, always eclectic.
Wise Old Moon is an alt-Americana and roots/rock band hailing from Hartford, CT that ties traditional folk influences together with a unique brand of high energy, twang infused indie rock, creating an eclectic sound that touches on many eras and genres.
Formed in 2013 by songwriter Connor Zane Millican, many of Wise Old Moons songs relate to Millicans personal experiences traveling the American West after leaving home at a young age. Upon returning to his hometown of Hartford, CT, in between tending bar by night and painting houses by day, Millican recorded The Patterns, Wise Old Moons 2014 debut which was met with local and regional acclaim by critics like Mike Hamad of The Hartford Courant; You can almost smell the late night paint fumes and hear the clinking of glasses on The Patterns, where acoustic guitars, barroom pianos and fiddles weave lines around Millicans laconic delivery.
