Brother Ali
Brother Ali hits the road again to spread his word this spring. The Truth Is Here tour featuring Brother Ali, Abstract Rude, Toki Wright and BK-One kicks off February 29th in Madison, Wisconsin and weaves its way through the lower forty-eight and ends in Chicago, Illinois on March 31st. The lyrical grind of The Undisputed Truth demands a witness, and the time is upon us, so do the right thing and arrive with five.
Brother Ali's 2007 release The Undisputed Truth took an incredibly introspective view at the Minnesota Rhymesayer, showing his growth in life, his faith, his craft, and how the three are directly and indirectly connected. With noble production from Ant of Atmosphere fame, Ali takes on the current hip-hop climate in a heavyweight fight worthy of his boxing namesake. Brother Ali took his work to mass audiences in 2007 via late night television performances on Late Night with Conan OBrien and the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson in addition to garnering piles of featured press in the likes of Rolling Stone, Spin, NPR, The Source, The Wall Street Journal, Vibe, Playboy, etc. The tour trekking in 07 included his own full North American tour, a top billing on the independent rap Paid Dues festival and performing with Ghostface Killah and Rakim on the highly acclaimed Hip Hop Live tour. With thought provoking lyrics, at times controversial (Uncle Sam Goddamn), Ali makes it known that The Truth Is Here, and it isnt going anywhere anytime soon.

If his first album, Shadows on the Sun--one of 2003's best hip-hop releases--was meant to introduce Ali to his would-be fanbase, The Undisputed Truth--which sees Ali's life taking a total 180--seals the damn deal. - URB
"Ali fuses formidable mic skills and unvarnished honesty...with a voice that veers between the tremolo authority of a storefront preacher and a syrupy baritone suited for a Mississippi Delta juke joint" - VIBE
Brother Ali, Rhymesayers' righteous albino wordsmith is a powerhouse who spits tricky rhymes with the force and consistency of a steel piston. -XLR8R
"Ali benefits from a plate full of typically banging tracks from Rhymesayers producer du jour Ant, whose funk- and soul-infused beats provide a great counterpunch to Ali's meaty vocals" - BILLBOARD.COM
