I'll Be Seeing You

Charles, a sports reporter in civilian life, entered the Army in 1941 as a soldier. He met Billee while in basic training. The two saw one another three times before he shipped out in '42, but it was enough for them to get engaged.
Charles was plucked out of the infantry to be a war correspondent for Army newspaper The Stars and Stripes, and ended the war at the elbow of General Eisenhower, the only reporter to witness the surrender negotiations between the Germans and Allies. Along the way, he met Vivian Leigh and Ernest Hemingway.
Billee led an anxious home-front life, working in a defense plant, training as an airplane spotter, rolling bandages and keeping the home fires burning.
Both families suffered great sacrifice.
"I'll Be Seeing You" is a special, romantic play, based on the letters of Charles and Billee, mixed with the amazing songs of the time that they wrote about and that kept them connected across an ocean of fighting of sacrifice.
