The Nutcracker - Act 2 - Kingdom of the Sweets
The School of the Arts (SOA) at the National Museum of Dance is excited to again be performing "The Nutcracker - Act 2 - Kingdom of the Sweets" this holiday season!
Performances will be held on Saturday, December 10 at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm at Maple Avenue Middle School's Trombley Auditorium. Tickets are $17 per person.
Join the Sugar Plum Fairy and a host of angels, Clara and the Prince as they celebrate their victory over the Mouse King with sweets from around the world! Dancers ranging in age from 7 to 17 will perform the classic Nutcracker roles-Coffee, Chocolate, Tea, Marzipan, Russian, and Waltz of the Flowers. Guests will even be treated to a special cameo appearance from National Museum of Dance and School of the Arts Director, Raul Martinez, as Mother Ginger with her Polichinelles! This year, also enjoy an appearance by Boston Ballet soloist Isaac Akiba as the Cavalier.
