Sam Eason EP Launch Show at St James Wine Vaults, Bath
Saturday January 28th will see a very special gig to launch Sam Eason's new EP in the gorgeously intimate Cellar bar at St James Wine Vaults in Bath.
The as-yet-untitled EP will be his second official release, following 2015's 'With Hope'. There will be a VERY limited run of CD copies for this new release, so the gig may be your only chance to get hold of one.
On confirming the EP and gig news in late October, Sam said: "The slightly scary thing is that, as it stands, the songs for the EP do not yet exist. Having mulled over various musical ideas, and with a frustration of not really being inspired to write any new music for a while, I looked back at the most fruitful time for my songwriting. Back in 2015 when I came up with the crazy idea for BathSongs (http://sameason.weebly.com/bathsongs.html) and in setting myself a deadline to write, I somehow came up with a pretty decent batch of new tunes in a short space of time.
With a slight air of trepidation, I'm trying the same tactic by setting up this EP release and launch gig for January to push myself to actually start putting together some of the musical flotsam and jetsam that is starting to wash up on the shoreline of my brain.
It may be decent, it may be a bit pants but hopefully it'll be SOMETHING! I promise that, come what may, the January gig will be a whole heap of fun."
Sam will be playing tracks from the new EP alongside the established Sam Eason material with the help of some special guests and maybe even a few extra special covers on the night.
