Join 18 Reasons and local company Attune Foods to a evening of cereal history, tasting and tricks to making the good stuff at home!
We will learn: The history of cereal in the US The history of Attune (established in 1908) The importance of whole grains and low sugar in breakfast foods A demo on how to make cereal at home
Attune Foods is based out of San Francisco and makes organic cereal and graham crackers- all of which are Non-GMO Certified and many Gluten Free! They believe that every morning should start off right- with whole grains and no processed sugar! It took them over a year to get their corn flakes made with Organic Non-GMO certified corn and are proud of their products. We think with good reason!
Join us to meet three members of the nine person team and hear the story of cereal, their company and taste their amazing products. At the end of the class they will demo how to make their cereal at home.

Meet the co-presenters!
Rob Hurlbut President Rob has over 20 years of experience in the food industry distinguished by his passion for innovation and team building. Prior to launching Attune Foods, Rob was CEO of Niman Ranch, where he built the nation's leading brand of premium, natural meat. He created an innovative supply chain that allowed sustainable family farmers access to the burgeoning market for artisanal foods thereby adding value to both the consumer and producer experience. Rob lives in San Francisco with his wife and two children. Daniel Wiser Director of Marketing Daniel spends his time trying to come up with creative and authentic ways of spreading the word about Attune's simply made and healthy cereals. Prior to joining Attune, Daniel led the marketing for the Avalon Organics and Alba Botanica brands at Avalon Natural Products in Petaluma. When not playing with cereal at work, Daniel can be found enjoying the food culture while roaming around the Mission where he lives. Annelies Zijderveld Online Community Manager Annelies derives joy in working toward creating community online and offline. A natural networker, she is excited to connect people with the health benefits of Attune Foods' products and journey with others toward achieving balance. Annelies enjoys marketing in start-ups, coming from Mighty Leaf Tea, another company that created its own niche and category. She likes surrounding herself with innovative minds, finding their vision ignites her creative spark.
