MIDNIGHT DREAM (Filmmaker: Peter Scheer) Haunting visual imagery highlights this poetic portrait of pianist Lola Astanova as she perfoms a Rachmaninoff prelude. (10 min) THE FLOWERING OF THE CRONE (Filmmaker: Ally Acker) A thoughtful and moving exploration of the life and the works of artist Leonora Carrington. After breaking from her upper-class background, Carrington strove to portray her personal vision through surrealist art. (58 min) UMBRA (Filmmaker: Ilana Schwartz) A mesmerizing animated tale of a man who finds more than he bargained for when he opens a mysterious box. (2 min) THE MAN IN THE SUIT (Filmmaker: Elizabeth Friedman) The haunting story of a middle-aged man and a young woman both searching for something more than what they have who suddenly find that their lives are strangely linked. (18 min) CHANGING PHASES & CLOUD POINT (Filmmaker: David Weiner) Images of water and fire illuminate these two short visual poems. (5 min) NOT DARK YET (Filmmaker: Brian Paccione) A moving drama about a father and son as they deal with their past after a surprising reunion.
