The Amazing Adolescent Brain: Opportunities, Challenges and Promising Interventions
Please join us for a conversation about what neuroscience tells us about supporting youth to navigate adolescence and thrive.
Featuring Dr. Linda Chamberlain, Keynote Speaker Founding Director, Alaska Family Violence Prevention Project Dr. Chamberlain will be joined by a panel of local service providers in child welfare.
Adolescent brain development is a period of profound change and remodeling. Dr. Chamberlain and panelists will explore how this period of heightened brain plasticity influences an adolescent's emotions, learning, decision-making and behavior - and how parents, educators, care providers and others can use this knowledge to help youth cope with challenges and build resilience.
