Spokane Arts Grants Awards SAGA: Community Forum
For every dollar invested in the arts, $5.50 is returned to the local economy. Come and find out how we are investing in our local Spokane artists, arts organizations and heritage groups. Give your input and together we can make a difference.
Spokane Arts will be presenting information on the new granting program, made possible by the Admissions Tax Ordinance, Spokane Arts Grants Awards SAGA. We are seeking artists of all disciplines, arts and community organizations to provide feedback about what is important to you!
We will be hosting two one-hour repeat sessions on November 15 at 11:00 am to noon or 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. Admission is FREE but seating is limited.
What is the Purpose of the Event? To have a public forum in which to gather information and feedback about the Spokane Arts Grants Awards SAGA, a very new Grants Program funded by the City of Spokanes Admissions Tax Ordinance.
This event requires your participation. Spokane Arts will share information about the vision and process of grants funding and gather thoughts from our community stakeholders about the proposed program. Your input will shape what is to come.
What is SAGA? Spokane Arts Grants Awards: The arts tell a story about what is happening in Spokane. The new grants program will begin in January of 2017.
Spokane Arts Fund Grants seeks to enrich our artistic vitality and cultural vibrancy within our city. To support this overarching mission, Spokane Arts Grants Awards SAGAs goal is simple. To serve as a catalyst to foster a robust, healthy arts community where artists, non-profit arts and culture, and creative industries thrive.
Our new grants program is built on three pillars. Transparency. Accountability. Equity.
