TASN is thrilled to partner with Peter Fulton to present an afternoon of poetry and music featuring Anne Pelleschi, Alice Sullivan, and Michael Bryant; all from Swansea, Wales. Also featured: local poet, Peter Fulton, accompanied by John Tavano on guitar, and Alabama poet Bonnie Roberts.
The visiting poets will perform pieces from their own collections. Peter and John will perform Peters piece, 1996 Revisited.
The Poet Performers Anne Pelleschi has a strong presence on the international poetry scene, including her talks on the life of Dylan Thomas.
Alice Sullivans work captures observations of people, place, motherhood, and madness refracted through the truthful but tactless lens of autism.
Michael Bryant, MD, grew up in Senegal, West Africa, and lives alternately in Swansea and Sierra Leone, West Africa.
Bonnie Roberts is a lifelong poet, environmental activist, and a publisher.
Peter Fulton is a Massachusetts native. He performed his piece, How to Carve an Angel, at the International Poetry Festival in Swansea, Wales in 2011.
The Musician - John Tavano - guitarist/composer has developed a classical guitar repertoire ranging from the Music of the Renaissance and Baroque to Classical, Flamenco, Jazz and Bossa Nova. Johns original compositions,La Gitana and Avila, have been featured on Boston radio stations. John is a member of the Boston Classical Guitar Society and a former staff musician at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. John is currently involved with The Latin Quarter, The Tavano/Lamar Duo, Chuck Walker Trio and Bossa Buena.
