826michigan Presents Sweater Weather: A Fall Fundraising Dinner!
On Saturday, October 19, at 7pm join local nonprofit 826michigan and acclaimed graphic novelist Jim Ottaviani for elegant food prepared by Chef Brad Greenhill of Righteous Rojo, decor by pot&box, and great company in the elegant Mansion at 841 W Boston Blvd, located in Detroit's historic Boston-Edison neighborhood.
Proceeds from this event benefit 826michigan's new In-School Residencies in the City of Detroit, through which volunteers are organized on a continual basis to support teachers in overcrowded classrooms. This program currently serves several public and charter schools in the city, including Boggs Academy, Amelia Earhart Elementary-Middle School, and University Preparatory Academy.

Notable works include a biography of Niels Bohr and the fast-paced tale of the desperate lives of early paleontologists and T-Minus: The Race to the Moon, from Aladdin Books. He has worked as a nuclear engineer and is currently employed as a reference librarian at the University of Michigan.
