TRUTHINESS taught by LAUREN WEEDMAN
TRUTHINESS: GET YOUR LIFE on THE PAGE, and/or THE STAGE
Lauren will teach you how to transform material taken from all aspects of your life -- family, dreams, books, music, the local news -- sift it and shake it down to create snapshots and/or scenes that you'll be able to develop into a cohesive story for performance or paper. She'll also show you how to adjust your process so you can leave behind the common tendency to worry too much about the facts, freeing up brain precious space for you to move move forward and find the meaning and THE STORY that you want to tell.
There'll be both writing exercises and on-your-feet storytelling. Lauren will give on-the-spot HELPFUL feedback about where our stories come alive and engage an audience.
