Musical Memories: Celebrating 80 Years at the Capitol Theatre
PORTAL PLAYERS DRAMATIC SOCIETY PROUDLY PRESENTS:
Portal Players Dramatic Societys latest season is now in full swing, and continues in December with a locally developed musical production featuring songs through the ages.
Musical Memories: Celebrating 80 Years at The Capitol Theatre reunites our lively cast of singers from A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline, who weave through eight decades of music, featuring captivating stories about The Capitol Theatre, Portal Players, Port Alberni and the world beyond.
With songs from the 1930s through to modern times, Portal Players Musical Memories will keep you entertained throughout each performance. This production opens on December 16th and runs on select dates through mid-January, 2017.
Youll hear some of your favourite songs made famous by artists like The Everly Brothers, Bill Haley & the Comets, Doris Day, and Frank Sinatra. More recent musicians include Fleetwood Mac, Billy Joel, Garth Brooks and Barenaked Ladies.
Weve included a dynamic recap of some local and world news highlights, complete with multimedia projections as part of the show.
